研究生课程

The 生物科学系 houses accomplished laboratories with advanced technologies, 开展尖端生物医学, 平移, 基础科学, 以及生态研究. Our modern facilities include a computation center and aquatic field 研究 sites, as well as collaborations with local hospitals and use of campus natural habitats. Many of our laboratories receive external funding from private foundations and national agencies including the National Institute of Health, 国家科学基金会, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and NASA. Our graduate programs promote biological discoveries within an engaging and stimulating environment. 教师 are committed to providing exceptional teaching and 研究 experiences. Together we will help you grow a lifelong passion for the biological sciences and reach your career goals.

研究生课程说明

The program leading to a Master of Science provides advanced training to students seeking employment in biological disciplines. Master of Science in biology also prepares students for entrance into PhD programs.

M.S. program covers the breadth of biological questions ranging from the fields of biomedical 研究 to 生态, 进化, 和行为. Some examples of biomedical 研究 topics currently studied at 十大菠菜台子 include cancer 研究, 干细胞研究, intercellular signaling in cardiovascular disease, 遗传学 of cystic tubular organ diseases, 基因表达机制, 细胞活性, 眼病理, and chemical communication between organisms. 一些生态学的例子, 进化, 和行为 研究 include the 生态 of wood frogs, 微生物物种的进化, 进化 of transposable elements in plant genomes, 进化 of parasite-host interactions, and the effect of human activity on aquatic ecosystems. 参观以下地区 研究 page for more information and detailed descriptions of the faculty 研究 interests within 生物科学系.
